DRIVERS LICENCE & INSURANCE EXCESS
Current New Zealand, International licences and internationally approved licences are accepted. Please note it is a government requirement that all licences are translated into English. Rental vehicle and Third Party Insurance is included in our rates and is subject to a Refundable Excess(Subject to age of Drivers)
EXCESS:
All claims are subject to an excess (deductible) in accordance with the rental agreement. The amount of excess depends on the licence held by the driver/s. A credit card imprint is required for a bond to cover the contractual obligations and the insurance excess as follows:
- Over 25 years of age on a full license NZ$1500 cars NZ$2500 trucks/vans
- Over 21 years and under 25 years of age on full licence NZ$2000 cars NZ$2500 trucks/vans
- Over 18 years and under 21 years of age on full licence NZ$2500 cars NZ$2500 trucks/vans
- Any driver on a restricted licence over the age of 18 NZ$2500 cars NZ $2500 trucks/vans
At the discretion of Auckland Vehicle Rentals Ltd the Insurance excess may be reduced by the payment of an additional NZ$10.00 per day to NZ$250.00 (minimum 4 day hire and only available for drivers with full licences).
GOODS & SERVICES TAX (GST)
All prices, unless quoted, include 12.5% GST
MILEAGE CHARGES
All prices, unless quoted, include unlimited mileage with the exception of the Removal Trucks.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
A meet and greet service is available on most flights, or we can arrange to deliver your vehicle to your hotel.
24Hr Breakdown Service
Our vehicles are covered by a 24Hr Emergency Breakdown Service. However, all our vehicles are well serviced so hopefully you will not need this!
